Macaroni and cheese connoisseurs know that some chefs throw in Cheetos to dress up their usual pasta dishes. Now, PepsiCo is releasing Cheetos brand macaroni and cheese, and it’s much cheaper than gourmet mac n’ cheese.

The company announced Wednesday that Cheetos Mac 'n Cheese will officially release on Saturday, Aug. 8. For now, the pasta will be available exclusively at Walmart (and on their website), but PepsiCo Foods North America expects the products to be available at retailers nationwide next year.

Cheetos Mac 'n Cheese will be available in both boxes or single-serving cups. Both products have a suggested retail price of 98 cents each, but Cheetos die-hards might want more than one.

There are three flavors of Cheetos Mac 'n Cheese. Consumers can keep it classic with Bold & Cheesy, or spice it up with the other two flavors, Flamin' Hot and Cheesy Jalapeño. Each product includes the famous, brightly-colored seasoning as well as corkscrew noodles (which were supposedly inspired by mascot Chester Cheetah’s tail).

With the global health crisis keeping consumers at home and cooking more often, the new product seems well-timed.

“We've seen incredible culinary creativity from our Cheetos fans through the years, taking our product and using as an actual ingredient in recipes — whether at restaurants, or now more than ever, at home,” Rachel Ferdinando, SVP, CMO Frito-Lay North America, said in a press release. “Cheetos Mac 'n Cheese borrows that culinary inspiration to provide a mischievous mashup of an ordinary fan favorite.”
