Miss America 2015 Kira Kazantsev passed down her crown on Sunday, Sept. 13, at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Fifty-two women started out during the evening, but only one could land the crown for the 2016 competition – Miss Georgia Betty Cantrell.

Baciliky "Betty" Cantrell, 21, not only won the Miss America crown, but a $50,000 scholarship. The win was a shock to Miss Georgia, who tripped twice while walking the catwalk during the eveningwear portion of the competition.

Cantrell hails from Warner Robins, Georgia. Her platform -- “Healthy Georgia. Strong America.” -- won her the Miss Georgia 2015 title. She showcased her vocal talents Sunday night by singing opera. You can watch her perform below:

Cantrell posted the following video after winning:

Miss Alabama Meg McGuffin was named the fourth runner-up, winning a $10,000 scholarship. Miss Louisiana April Nelson was named the third runner-up, winning a $15,000 scholarship. Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson was named the second runner-up, winning a $20,000 scholarship. Miss Mississippi Hanna Roberts was named the first runner-up, winning a $25,000 scholarship.
