Steven Tyler must have been feeling like a woman.

The Aerosmith frontman gave Fox's “American Idol” fans a good laugh when he showed up to an audition doing his best “dude looks like a lady” impression.

It seems the musician had no motive other than to stir up some giggles for viewers and the unsuspecting judges.

Tyler attempted to trick the judges into thinking he was a woman in the Oklahoma City audition, the last stop before Hollywood.

Though he seemed to try his hardest to pull it off, donning crimson lipstick, a blonde wig and faux breasts, the judges seemed suspicious when Tyler stepped out onto the stage pretending to be Pepper LaBeija, a black drag queen and designer who died in 2003.

His high heels and short skirt weren’t enough to help the former “Idol” judge win his ticket to Hollywood.

The judges laughed from the moment Tyler walked out onto the stage, with Nicki Minaj yelling, “Steven Tyler!” as if she wasn’t sure if it were really him at first.

"I tried so hard," the Aerosmith frontwoman said, forlorn. “No Hollywood.”

Soon Tyler pulled off the wig, prompting this year’s “Idol” judges to erupt with applause.

But the show wasn’t over for Tyler. He continued to disrobe—throwing the socks from his fake breasts at Randy Jackson.

Fans of the show took to Twitter to share their delight.
