Season 6 of Hallmark Channel’s “When Calls the Heart” is going on an unplanned hiatus, and no return date has been set yet.

Episode 4 of the new season was supposed to air tonight and feature the introduction of new Mountie Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), but Hearties will have to wait a little bit longer because it isn’t airing Sunday night anymore.

The delay comes after star Lori Loughlin (Abigail) was dropped from all of her Hallmark projects after she was arrested in the college admissions scandal. While the network works to evaluate all of its “creative options” regarding “When Calls the Heart” and Loughlin’s character, the remaining new Season 6 episodes are being put on hold.

Prior to the show being taken off the schedule, here’s what the new episode was going to be all about:

“Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) is confronted by memories when a new Mountie comes to Hope Valley,” according to the synopsis. “…Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) buys a telephone and Lee (Kavan Smith) worries this new technology will contribute to his wife’s gossipy tendencies. Meanwhile, Jesse’s (Aren Buchholz) jealousy of Clara’s (Eva Bourne) boss reaches a boiling point.”

After Hallmark Channel finishes evaluating its options, the synopsis for the next episode could change.

To help hold fans over until a full, new episode of “WCTH” arrives, International Business Times recently premiered an exclusive clip from the upcoming episode. The video features Mountie Nathan Grant and Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) working together on a robbery case.

While Season 6, episode 4 of “When Calls the Heart” isn’t airing tonight, Hallmark Channel hasn’t yet announced when it will come back with a new air date. IBT will be keeping fans updated as new information’s released.
