They have to live under the glare of a harsh spotlight, which can bring enough stress to their new marriage. However, according to experts, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship is set to face their biggest test yet.

According to Express UK, the Duchess of Sussex’s pregnancy, which the couple announced in October, is going to be a challenge for them because for anyone, becoming parents for the first time provides a test and challenge to their relationship. Despite being royal, that same rule will apply to them as well.

“Becoming parents for the first time is the biggest test a marriage faces due to all changes a couple has to go through when the baby arrives,” relationship expert Jazz Bjelica told the website. “It shows how mature a couple is and how Meghan and Harry will handle it”

Among the challenges they’ll face will be tension due to late nights, lack of sleep and a change in their intimacy as a whole, dating and relationship expert Clarissa Bloom told the website.

“A baby can form a number of challenges and changes, both exciting and daunting in equal measure, therefore the structure and support within a relationship is critical,” she said. “...Meghan and Harry might not have faced any major relationship issue and argument considering how young their marriage is, therefore they will have to see how they handle the late nights and lack of sleep.”

Of course, the two also may not have to worry too much about their marriage being tested by their baby’s arrival, because they have resources that can help them.

“They are highly fortunate to be in a position where there is a large amount of support available, both with staff availability, financially and a lack of stressful obstacles,” Bloom said. “With this in mind, the relationship won’t change for Prince Harry and Meghan the way it might for others, however, it will certainly evolve.”

News of the couple’s pregnancy came just five months after their wedding in May. Their child will officially become 7th in line for the throne. However, the pair has opted not to give their child any royal titles.

Though they are expecting their first child together, Prince William and Kate Middleton are not welcoming their fourth child, despite reports to the contrary.
