Meghan Markle receives more money from Queen Elizabeth II than Princess Eugenie.

According to Amalie Henden of Express, the Duchess of Sussex receives more financial aid from the Queen compared to the royal born princesses, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. This is because Markle is a working royal and receives money from the privy purse.

Just recently, it was revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent $3.05 million on renovations for their home Frogmore Cottage, which is too much for many. Although Prince Harry and Markle paid for the fixtures and fittings, the majority of the bill for the renovation was covered by taxpayers.

Daily Mirror’s associate editor Kevin McGuire labeled the couple’s spending a “sick joke” at the expense of the poor Britons.

“It matters when so much money is being spent on one family, one couple, when there are so many people in Britain – a million plus people – on council waiting lists,” McGuire said.

He pointed out that there are 5,000 to 6,000 people sleeping on the street and the public is devoting its money to a very privileged family.

Prince Andrew’s daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie don’t enjoy the same privilege as Markle and Kate Middleton do as working royals. According to Antonia Holy of Daily Mail, the Duke of York actually wanted his daughters to carry out official duties, so they would be paid from the public purse.

Unfortunately, Queen Elizabeth II denied his request. Prince Charles also didn’t want to make the York princesses part of the working royals because the heir apparent wants a smaller and more cost-effective monarchy. Thus, the Prince of Wales wants Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice to fend for themselves and that’s exactly what happened and this upset Prince Andrew.

At present, Princes Eugenie has a full-time job. She holds a director position at Hauser & Wirth, a contemporary art gallery in Mayfair, London. She started working there in the summer of 2015 as an associate director.

She was promoted in 2017 which insiders described as a “well-deserved” promotion. Princess Eugenie revealed in a past interview that she had always known that she belongs to the art industry.
