Meghan Markle may skip the Lindo Wing. While Princess Diana and Kate Middleton opted to give birth at the private hospital and have a photo op before going home, the Duchess of Sussex wants something simpler.

Frimley Park was first reported to be Meghan's birthing place of choice after it was announced that she and Prince Harry were moving to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. St. Mary's Hospital would just be too far. However, now The Sun claims that Meghan wants to go to Frimley Park because of her feud with Kate.

"Meghan is said to want to take a different path to her sister-in-law and wants to shun the private ward for the more-basic facilities at Frimley Park," the outlet says. An insider claims the Duchess of Sussex doesn't want "anything that repeats what Kate Middleton had."

Frimley Park is an NHS hospital and the rooms are said to be much more basic the the Lindo Wing's luxury suites. Meghan reportedly likes the idea of going to an NHS facility.

However, the Jan. 21 print issue of Us Weekly has a source who indicates it is about privacy more than anything else. "It will be much less chaos and more a private event than if she gives birth in London [at high[profile St. Mary's hospital] like Kate did," the insider said.

Of course, this is assuming Meghan and Prince Harry want to go to a hospital at all. In November, reports circulated that Meghan was looking into a home birth.

In any case, it does not seem like royal watchers will get a glimpse of Meghan at the Lindo Wing when she gives birth this spring. The pregnant Duchess of Sussex recently confirmed that she is due in late April or early May. She did not, however, mention anything about her birth plans.
