Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly decorated their son Archie’s nursery with a photo of Princess Diana.

The Duke of Sussex has always wanted to keep his mom’s legacy alive, and he also wants his son to know who the Princess of Wales was even though Archie never had the chance to meet his grandmother.

A source told Us Weekly that Prince Harry came up with the idea of putting a photo of Princess Diana inside his son’s nursery after he felt that he could open up about his real feeling to his wife.

“It was during their first trip to Africa together, shortly after they started dating, that Harry first opened up to Meghan about his mum and the pain he suffered following her death. He still gets very emotional talking about it... One of the things that first attracted Harry to Meghan was the way her kindness, determination, and strength reminded him so much of his mum,” the source said.

Meanwhile, during the royal couple’s engagement interview, Markle made it clear that she also wanted Princess Diana to be involved in her and Prince Harry’s relationship. In fact, Markle received a beautiful engagement ring from the Duke of Sussex that had Princess Diana written all over it.

During the same interview with BBC, Prince Harry confidently said that he thinks his mom and wife would be thick as thieves. Princess Diana and Markle would’ve gotten along really well.

“I think she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, so excited for me. But then, as I said, [she] would’ve probably been best friends with Meghan … It is days like today when I really miss having her around and miss being able to share the happy news, but with the [engagement] ring and with everything else that’s going on, I’m sure she’s with us, jumping up and down somewhere else,” Prince Harry said.
