Prince Beatrice’s upcoming wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi is going to be different from past royal marriages. When the Princess of York marries her fiancé, she will become a stepmother to his 2-year-old son, Christoper.

Before their engagement, Edoardo was is a relationship with Dara Huang. During their romance, Dara gave birth to Christopher, who they have nicknamed Wolfie.

Since the two share a child, a source told the Daily Mail that Dara will receive an invite to the royal wedding. “They take turns over who stays in the family house, keeping Wolfie in a consistent environment,” the insider explained.

Since Princess Beatrice began dating Edoardo, she has been supportive of his relationship with his son.

“Dara and Edo are finding co-parenting to be a great way for one of them to be with Wolfie at all times as they both have busy schedules,” the source revealed.

“Dana loves her son to bits and, like any mother, she is very protective. But in a very modern and grown-up way, she is totally happy that Beatrice will be developing a relationship with her son, and is happy that he will attend the wedding as Edo’s best man.”

Last week, sources close to Edoardo told People that the couple has formed a blended family with Dara and Christopher.

“Edo is easily one of the best dads. He is so involved, he is so committed to this little boy, and Beatrice is already showing that she’s a fantastic step-mummy already,” the insider explained.

“They’ve been on family vacations together already. They are really happy, there’s no better person they could have for a step-mummy.”

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo are expected to get married in 2020.
