They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, but that probably won't be the case for "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" couple Joe and Teresa Giudice.

After three years apart, Teresa, along with the couple's four children -- Gia, 18, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14 and Audriana, 10 -- traveled to Italy for four days to reunite with Joe. The family seemed cheerful as they shared photos on Instagram. However, things aren't always as they seem.

"Teresa and Joe were arguing a lot, and wouldn’t go near each other," a source revealed to Radar Online, adding, "All of the photos of them together seem forced."

Prior to the face-to-face meeting, the "RHONJ" couple chatted with Bravo host Andy Cohen to discuss the status of their family and relationship in "The Real Housewives of New Jersey Special Event: Joe and Teresa Unlocked," which aired on Oct. 27. At the time, both agreed that the future of their marriage depended on two things: reuniting in person and the verdict of Joe's deportation case. Although the status of Joe's deportation appeal is still being decided, it seems they are going to split regardless.

"They’re definitely getting a divorce," an insider shared. "Even if Joe is allowed to move back to the U.S., Teresa is done with him."

If Teresa and Joe do end up filing for divorce it wouldn't exactly be shocking news.

While the father of four was serving his sentence for financial fraud, there were allegations swirling that Teresa was cheating on him. Although Teresa denied any infidelity during the television special, Joe is said to have believed the rumors were true.

"Joe wants a divorce," a source divulged, shortly after Joe arrived in Italy. "He is so mad at Teresa for cheating while he was locked up and left to rot in prison."

His family appears to be on board if the couple splits, mainly due to Teresa's alleged actions over the past three years.

According to an insider, Joe's family believes she will file for divorce because "she has tasted her freedom."

While neither of the "RHONJ" reality stars has initiated the process to dissolve their marriage, fans of the show can count on everything being captured by Bravo cameras.

"If Joe gets kicked out, if he stays, if she files for divorce, they want to make sure they don’t miss anything so they’re not delaying production at all," the insider added.

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
