“Dynasty” is all about the drama, and tonight’s Season 2 finale is bound to be no different, but there’s absolutely no drama surrounding the future of the series.

Last month, the show was renewed for Season 3, meaning there will be a lot more Carrington adventures on the way.

The CW’s reboot of the ‘80s soap opera wasn’t the only show to earn a renewal at that time. The network also ordered more seasons of nine other shows, including “Supernatural” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.” Since then, The CW has renewed all of its shows and canceled none.

“By picking these ten series up for next season, we have a terrific selection of programming to choose from when we set our fall schedule in May, with more still to come,” CW President Mark Pedowitz said in an April press release. “And I’m especially happy that we’ll continue to work with the incredibly talented casts, producers, and writers who create the series our fans are so passionate about.”

The network has since set its fall 2019 schedule, and “Dynasty” will continue to air on Fridays, but it’ll move to a later time. The show will now air at 9 p.m. EDT, right after “Charmed.”

Before it returns with episode 1 of Season 3, there’s still the Season 2 finale (episode 22), titled “Deception, Jealousy, and Lies,” that’s set to air tonight.

“As various members of the Carrington family make the ultimate decision between preserving their legacies and protecting their personal relationships, allegiances are tested... while dark secrets from the past resurface,” the synopsis reveals.

Grant Show (Blake), Elizabeth Gillies (Fallon), Ana Brenda Contreras (Cristal), Rafael de la Fuente (Sammy Jo), Sam Adegoke (Jeff), Robert Christopher Riley (Culhane), Maddison Brown (Kirby) and Alan Dale (Anders) all star in the episode, which was written by Christopher Fife and Paula Sabbaga and directed by Michael Allowitz.
