Contrary to earlier speculation that Prince William and Kate Middleton may reunite with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the U.S., the Prince and Princess of Wales have no plans of seeing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during their upcoming U.S. visit, as per reports.

William and Kate announced earlier this month that they will be attending the Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony in Boston, Massachusetts on Dec. 2. "The @EarthshotPrize is back and this year, we're heading to Boston!," the royal couple's official Twitter account tweeted. "Game-changing solutions. More potential to save our planet. Boston, we'll see you in December!"

Despite rumors that the Prince and Princess of Wales might reunite with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the U.S., a source close to the couple told ET the rumored reunion between the two royal couples will not happen this time.

According to the source, they will not cross paths since William and Kate will be in Boston in early December, while Harry and Meghan will be in California, where their home is, to attend a gala and accept an award.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl also revealed back in October that the brothers, despite showing a united front during the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth, are yet to mend their relationship. "Everyone wants to see a repair in the rift because it doesn't do anyone any good to have this rift in the heart of the House of Windsor, but William simply cannot forgive Harry," she explained.

"Not just for leaving, but for how he left," Nicholl added, referring to Prince Harry and Meghan's decision to step down as working members of the royal family and leaving the U.K.

William, Kate, Prince Harry, and Meghan surprised royal followers in September when they made a joint public appearance to personally greet the mourners outside Windsor following the death of Queen Elizabeth. The reunion sparked rumors that the estranged brothers may have mended fences with each other.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Boston trip marks Prince William and Kate's first international trip since becoming Prince and Princess of Wales.
