If losing to Gov. Scott Walker in Wisconsin's recall vote Tuesday night wasn't bad enough, Democratic challenger and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett got slapped in the face.

Video by WISNT-TV, an ABC affiliate, shows a female supporter walking up to Barrett after the Republican incumbent was re-elected and landing a firm hand across his left cheek.

Reporter Terry Sater said the woman was upset that Barrett called Walker and conceded while voters were still casting their ballots.

Barrett told Sater the woman asked if she could slap him, but Barrett offered to hug her instead, according to Politico.
