The Los Angeles Dodgers needed seven games to hold off the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series, earning a 5-1 win on Saturday night at Miller Park. The back-to-back NL champions face an even tougher task in the World Series: a Boston Red Sox squad that defeated two 100-win teams.

Oddsmakers like Boston's chances in the best-of-seven series. According to Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, the Red Sox are the favorites at -135, while the Dodgers are the underdogs at +115. Vegas Insider lists the Red Sox as -125 favorites and the Dodgers as +105 underdogs.

Prior to Game 7 of the NLCS, the Red Sox had 5/9 odds to win the World Series, ahead of both the Dodgers and Brewers at 7/2 odds, according to Vegas Insider.

Boston enters the series more rested. The Red Sox last played on Thursday and completed nine total postseason games, holding off the New York Yankees and Houston Astros.

The Dodgers head to Boston after playing in Milwaukee on Saturday. Los Angeles has played in 11 postseason games and also had a one-game tie-breaker against the Colorado Rockies.

The Dodgers may prefer the underdog status. In the 2017 World Series, L.A. was the favorite with -165 betting odds, according to Bovada.lv. The Astros, who went on to win the World Series in seven games, were listed as the underdog at +145.

The Dodgers had the best record in baseball in 2017 and therefore home-field advantage against the Astros. The Red Sox have home-field advantage this year after finishing with 108 wins in the regular season.

The World Series begins on Tuesday night at Fenway Park in Boston.
