Sunday night was a time for honor and recognition at the 25th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. Some of the most talented actors in film and television gathered at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles to celebrate their fellow thespians.

While there was plenty of applause inside of the venue, some actresses failed to receive it on the 2019 SAG Awards red carpet due to their less than stellar fashion choices and ended up landing on the worst dressed list.

This year the ceremony opted to swap out the red carpet for a silver one, giving stars the opportunity to show off what they may have thought were great ensembles for the cameras.

Alison Brie, who was nominated for outstanding performance by a female actor for her role in “Glow,” wore a black Miu Miu gown which featured a bejeweled bow that looked as if she attached wings to her back. While this dress would have been great for Halloween, it doesn’t really scream SAG Awards.

Actors often receive praise for not showcasing their wealth, but “The Handmaid’s Tale” actress Madeline Brewer seemed to take the inexpensive look to the extreme. The 26-year-old wore a red lace Brock Collection gown that was see through at the bottom.

Brewer’s red carpet choice would have been great for an after party look, but she probably should have opted for something a little more formal for the big event.
