WWE legend Ric Flair’s dream fight would be against Roman Reigns as the two-time Hall of Famer says he would "die to wrestle" the current Universal Champion.

The 16-time world champion, Flair, is considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Flair, whose career spanned for 40 long years, competed in his final WWE match in 2008, two years before Reigns joined the company’s developmental set up.

In a recent interview, Flair compared Reigns to one of his most legendary in-ring rivals, Ricky Steamboat.

"I would die to wrestle Roman Reigns the way he is right now. How good-looking is that kid? He’s Steamboat," Flair was quoted by Ewrestlingnews, as saying on his 'Wooooo Nation Uncensored' podcast.

Steamboat, who was inducted in WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2009, fought Flair in several thrilling fights between 1977 and 1994.

Over the last few months, many storylines on WWE SmackDown have circled around SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Universal Champion Reigns.

Flair, who was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2008 and 2012, has explained that his daughter Charlotte and The Tribal Chief are the two vital reasons why SmackDown is a better brand than RAW at present in the WWE.

"I think it’s the better show right now, yeah. I think there are two reasons. The main two reasons are Roman and Charlotte, but put Sasha [Banks] in the same mix, put Brock [Lesnar] in there. I know Brock is on both shows. It’s for two hours. I think FOX is really coming on strong. It’s a great show," the 1992 Royal Rumble winner added in the same interview.

Reigns will next be in action at the upcoming Elimination Chamber, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday at Jeddah Superdome, Saudi Arabia. The Tribal Chief is set to defend his Universal Championship at the Pay-Per-View (PPV) event. At the same event, Charlotte Flair will team up with Sonya Deville against Naomi and Ronda Rousey.

Meanwhile, Bobby Lashley is also going to defend his world title at the Elimination Chamber. RAW star Seth Rollins has said that he believes he can certainly dethrone Lashley at the upcoming event and win his third WWE Championship, according to WrestlingNews.
