  • WrestleMania 38 is set to take place on April 3
  • The "Show of the Shows" will be held in Dallas, Texas
  • Stone Cold retired from pro-wrestling in 2003

WWE is reportedly planning to bring Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin to fight at WrestleMania 38.

Stone Cold retired 19 years ago from pro-wrestling due to injuries. In his last match, the six-time WWF (now WWE) Champion lost to arch-rival The Rock at WrestleMania 19 in 2003.

WrestleMania 38 is scheduled to take place on April 3 at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. The WWE Company is planning a massive proposal to get The Rattlesnake at the upcoming "The Show of the Shows" and the legendary wrestler could face off current RAW Superstar Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38, according to Wrestling Observer journalist Bryan Alvarez.

WWE has tried for years to get Stone Cold to the ring for one more match but he has always turned down the offers, Wrestling News reported. Now it appears that the four-time WWE Tag Team Champion has agreed to make a return to the ring one last time.

"WWE has made a significant overture towards one of the biggest draws in WWE history 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin for an in-ring return at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas. Since then, many WWE Superstars have tried to conjure Austin out of retirement, but it hasn't happened out of yet," Sportskeeda quoted the Wrestling media outlet Fightful.

One of the greatest wrestlers to have competed in the WWE, Stone Cold went off the grid from WWE because of a serious neck injury in 2003. It is believed that Stone Cold's rumored return to WrestleMania is bound to provide a huge boost to the event's ticket sales.

One of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE Company at present is Roman Reigns. It was earlier reported that Reigns is set to create an incredible record that may never be broken in WWE.

The Universal Champion will try to defend his title against WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg at the Elimination Chamber 2022, which is due to take place in Saudi Arabia.

When Reigns takes on Goldberg this Sunday at Jeddah Superdome, the former will achieve a unique record that's unlikely to ever be beaten – he will become the first person to face every former Universal Champion in a single reign.
