KEY POINTS

  • Seth Rollins eyes to challenge for the WWE Universal title
  • Drew McIntyre is a favorite to win the 2021 Money in the Bank match
  • Rollins will likely continue his feud with Cesaro

Seth Rollins booked a place in the 2021 Money In The Bank match set to happen on July 18 at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

After defeating rival Cesaro, the “Messiah” did not hide the fact that he has reigning Universal Champion Roman Reigns on his radar.

Rollins won the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2014 and held the contract for 273 days. He cashed it in at WrestleMania 31 when Brock Lesnar and Reigns were in a grueling battle.

Should he be successful, he may get that chance.

Unfortunately, the early odds of Rollins winning the 2021 Money in the Bank contest finds him behind Drew McIntyre.

The Scottish wrestler is the -175 favorite, while Rollins is at +250.

Of course, anything can happen with Rollins possibly still winning Money in the Bank. But looking at the storylines, seeing that happen may not be immediate.

At the same WWE event, Reigns will be locking horns with Edge.

Ironically, the "Rated-R Superstar "was the first winner of the said match in 2005. He would repeat the feat in 2007.

From the heated storyline between Reigns and Edge, it appears this WWE storyline is far from over.

Unless the 47-year-old gets injured and sidelined once more after the WWE pay-per-view, Edge is unlikely to see his feud with Reigns end any time soon.

As for Rollins, his rivalry with Cesaro seems far from over. Although the former champion won over the "Swiss Superman," it won’t be surprising if both end up embroiled in another upcoming altercation.

Rollins is set to tangle with four other WWE SmackDown superstars on July 16 in a Fatal 4-way match, two days before the actual Money in the Bank event.

It is seen more as a moral boost for the winner of the match although it cannot be discounted that some of the participant’s foes may get involved. One of them is Cesaro.

Hence, do not expect Rollins to get that big push soon for a shot at Reigns’ WWE Universal Title.

That could change, depending on the outcome of the “Tribal Chief’s” match with Edge on July 18.

But looking at the odds, it appears Reigns (-700) is a heavy favorite to prevail over Edge (+400).
