KEY POINTS

  • Roman Reigns is not worried about having a live audience at WrestleMania 37
  • Daniel Bryan is tipped to win WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37
  • This will be Reigns' first WrestleMania since 2019 as he opted to sit out last year

Roman Reigns missed WrestleMania 36 last year due to the complications raised by the COVID-19 pandemic.

One year later, the virus remains a pressing issue in most parts of the globe. However, WWE will be trying to show a semblance of normalcy by allowing fans into the venue at its annual spectacle.

WrestleMania 37 is set to take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on April 10 and 11--with the "Tribal Chief" facing the Edge and Daniel Bryan for the WWE Universal Championship.

It will be recalled that it was Reigns’ medical condition that forced him out of WrestleMania 36. He is coming off a bout with leukemia, and there was a possible risk tied to his condition.

Aside from that, the "Big Dog" also did not want to risk exposing his newborn baby to the coronavirus.

The conditions aren't that much different although there is something WWE will be trying to do by accomodating fans in the stands compared to last year. Like in 2020, there is no telling if this will pose a problem.

Either way, the reigning WWE Universal Champion is untethered by it and is confident that Vince McMahon and company will make sure that the proper precautionary measures are in place, TMZ reported.

"I think our safety precautions are second to none," Reigns stated.

The 35-year-old WWE star also added that there will be pods for the proper observance of social distancing. Masks will be required as well. If there are fans who forget to bring or wear one, WWE will be handing out face masks.

"We'll have the pods to create the social distancing, masks will be required. We'll be giving out masks for those who are forgetful. We'll have, I believe, cashless concessions, so we're gonna create an opportunity where everybody's gonna be as safe as they could be," Reigns said.

Contrary to previous claims, it will be a Triple Threat main event involving Reigns, Edge and Bryan, who got in as the third man after that controversial finish at WWE Fastlane. The change for WrestleMania 37 was announced on the March 26 episode of WWE SmackDown by Adam Pearce.

With three WWE stars battling for the coveted Universal Title, it will be interesting who will come out on top. However, oddsmakers are picking Bryan to capture the belt over Edge and Reigns.
