World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Famer Edge has returned to the in-ring action after nine long years and the WWE Company reportedly has an opponent in mind for him.

The 11-time champion made his WWE ring comeback at the recent Royal Rumble 2020 where he was one of the last three superstars remaining in the ring. He was eventually eliminated by Roman Reigns.

Edge confirmed his return at the WWE RAW right after the Royal Rumble Pay Per View (PPV).

WrestleVotes posted a tweet during RAW stating that Edge is most likely to face off Randy Orton at WrestleMania 36 in Tampa, Florida. The very first hint that was thrown by the WWE Company in regards to this potential fight was at the Royal Rumble match.

Just after forming a partnership of sorts in the Royal Rumble ring, Orton wanted to RKO Edge, who was alert enough and in no time, he eliminated Orton.

Their interaction did not end there. The two came face to face in the subsequent episode of WWE RAW. During the final minutes of the show, where Edge spoke about his journey and confirmed his WWE comeback, Orton interrupted.

Orton then praised Edged and acknowledged his help during his young days. He even proposed the reunion of the Rated RKO team.

Just when Edge was distracted, Orton landed an RKO on him. He then went on attack Edge with a steel chair to his head, which left the WWE Hall of Famer lying vulnerably in the middle of the ring.

The Royal Rumble was a lead up to the main event of WrestleMania 36, which is scheduled to happen in Tampa, Florida on April 6.
