  • Drew McIntyre won the Royal Rumble 2020 in Houston
  • He is set to face Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania
  • McIntyre has revealed the issue he has with Brock Lesnar

Drew McIntyre took nearly two decades and two stints with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Company to finally clinch a championship. He won the epic Royal Rumble 2020 by beating as many as 30 WWE superstars including the likes of WWE Universal champion and WWE Champion Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar, former winner Roman Reigns.

The winner of the Royal Rumble fights with either the WWE Champion or the Universal Champion at the ultimate event of WWE WrestleMania. McIntyre chose the current WWE champion as his opponent at April’s WrestleMania. That means, he’ll be up against Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar, who eliminated at least 13 wrestlers at the Royal Rumble, eventually was thrown out of the ring by McIntyre. The moment McIntyre shocking eliminated Lesnar, his facial expressions said it all.

“I hope the camera caught my face. That probably said everything, because I have no idea how I reacted. But I was in that moment, and just the idea of walking up to the ring and climbing up on the apron and looking at Brock Lesnar, getting in that ring slowly and in my head I was like, 'I can beat Brock Lesnar, I can take Brock Lesnar no matter what happens. If he shoots at me and comes and tries to take me down, I can beat this man.'"

"And when he took off those gloves, goosebumps on my arm went up. I was ready to go no matter what happened. And to kick him out of there, that reaction, you just have to watch the footage. That was exactly how I felt in the moment because it was very bl--dy real,” McIntyre revealed what he felt after beating Brock Lesnar.

In an interview with Bleacher Report, the Scottish wrestler also unfolded the issue he had with Brock Lesnar.

While many wrestlers have often expressed anger over Brock Lesnar’s unprofessional behavior of turning up to work late, McIntyre said his issue was something else.

“Some people get upset like, 'Oh, Brock Lesnar, he doesn't show up to work and blah blah blah blah.' I mean, to be fair, he signed a contract where he doesn't have to. We can't hold that against him. What I hold against him is the fact he's got our title. We need that title on TV. We need it in the live events. That's a very important part of RAW, and I want it back,” he added.
