Roman Reigns continues his second battle with leukemia, something he revealed on the Oct. 23 edition of WWE Raw. There is no timetable of his return, but his feature film debut alongside his cousin, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has led many to believe that the former WWE Universal Champion will be returning to the ring soon.

According to Cageside Seats, the fact that Roman Reigns is filming a movie so soon after announcing his bout with leukemia hints that his health issue is not as deadly as most had initially perceived. Hence, a quick comeback into the WWE scene could be happening soon.

Also known as Leati Joseph Anoa'i, Reigns is set to star alongside The Rock in the upcoming “Fast and Furious” spinoff movie, “Hobbs and Shaw”. He will be portraying Johnson’s brother in the film.

Through his Instagram account, Johnson expressed his excitement about the opportunity to appear on the big screen alongside Reigns, who continues to recover in his latest battle with leukemia. Based on his post, it seems that Reigns’ recovery is going along just fine, although his return to WWE action remains to be anyone’s guess.

Reigns had finally claimed the WWE Universal championship at Summer Slam back in August 2018 against Brock Lesnar. But as fate would have it, leukemia would cut short his championship reign, relinquishing the title that would ironically find its way back to the Beast Incarnate.

Since his forced departure, the WWE has found itself trying to push other stars. Braun Strowman had that push, but the title picture took a different turn when Finn Balor got the opportunity to face Lesnar. The Demon King did impress at the WWE pay-per-view, but it was still Lesnar coming out triumphant in the end.

The focus has now shifted to Wrestlemania 35, where Seth Rollins is likely to challenge the Beast Incarnate. The Kingslayer ruled the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble, eliminating Strowman in the end, WWE.com reported.

Unless WWE scriptwriters alter the course, it is clearly looming as a Lesnar vs. Rollins main event at Wrestlemania 35 set to take place at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on April 7. Could Reigns make a surprise appearance by that time and reveal his readiness return to ring action?
