The 2019 edition of the WWE Royal Rumble is fast approaching, with most eager to find out who will be participating in the battle royale. Some names have already been mentioned, such as Seth Rollins, John Cena and Drew McIntyre, but some old faces could come out and surprise WWE fans.

According to CNET, there are already 19 names confirmed for the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble. This means that there are 11 other names missing from that mix, some of which are likely not be announced.

With that said, the guessing game has begun among WWE fans, and at the top of the list are old wrestling names. The past saw the surprise entry of "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Mick Foley. They were not really in it to fight, however, and merely appeared for a moment.

Regardless, one name that has regularly been mentioned through the years is Carlito. The wrestler, who hails from Puerto Rico, has been often linked to a WWE return. And for some, the best way to do that is through the WWE Royal Rumble.

Unfortunately, the 39-year-old star has set the record straight regarding the upcoming edition of the Royal Rumble, Wrestling News reported. And he did get straight to the point, directing people to take a look at the WWE.com alumni page.

On Twitter, Carlito said, “For those of you that still ask every year if I’m going to be in the Royal Rumble. I’ll put it to you like this. WWE.com still won’t put me on their alumni page. I hope this clears things up for you.”

For those who don’t remember him, he was one of the heel stars in the 2000s. He is the former United States and Intercontinental champion. He was also famous for bringing an apple to the ring and then spitting on his opponent. Regardless, he remains one of the memorable figures the WWE has ever had.

Of course, pointing out that he is not on the WWE alumni page is not going to stop fans from counting him out. Had he answered with a yes or no, wrestling fans may have clammed up. With 11 slots left unidentified, he could still make an appearance. It may be a long shot, but nevertheless, it is still possible.
