Jimmy Uso, one half of the new WWE Tag Team Champion The Usos, got into a bit of trouble before WWE Elimination Chamber this month. The incident happened on Feb. 14, following a run-in with authorities.

According to TMZ Sports, police pulled over Jimmy and his wife, Naomi, near downtown Detroit. Naomi was apparently driving in the wrong direction in the one-way street, although this was not the real reason behind the issue getting out of hand.

It turns out that the apprehending officers smelled alcohol and asked Naomi to step out of the vehicle, a 2018 Dodge Journey. For some reason, the whole thing led Jimmy Uso to go crazy. He took off his shirt and jacket and appeared to be ready to get it on with one of the officers.

Fearing for his life, the officer took out his taser for protection. Thankfully, Jimmy, later on, came to his senses and calmed down. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction thereafter. Jimmy Uso had been taken to jail but later on posted bail.

It was an unfortunate episode that thankfully did not ruin his focus heading into WWE Elimination Chamber. Ironically, it was Jimmy who picked up the win for The Usos when he pinned The Miz, WWE reported.

While that performance somehow covered the mess that went down prior to the WWE pay-per-view, Oh You Didn’t Know revealed that Uso would not be meted any penalty or sanction for that forgettable episode.

A possible reason why the WWE may have opted not to sanction Uso is that the contract of the current Smackdown WWE Tag Team champs will be expiring in April. There is no update on whether they will stay on and their father, Rikishi, has made it public that both are soon to become free agents.

The next WWE pay-per-views could paint a clearer picture of the tandem’s future. The Usos are set to defend their titles at WWE Fastlane next month in a rematch against The Miz and Shane McMahon.

If they succeed in retaining, they are likely to make another defense at Wrestlemania 35. From there, it will be interesting what the future holds for The Usos.
