“The X Factor” UK judge Simon Cowell recently received a visit from his 2-year-old son Eric on the set of the hit reality competition.

Over the weekend, ITV released a clip from a recent episode of “The X Factor” that showed Cowell’s girlfriend Lauren Silverman and Eric arriving backstage to greet the entertainment mogul on Father’s Day. Cowell’s son also had an orange and green card that he gave to his father. In the clip, Cowell asked Eric what he drew on the card and the adorable toddler said that it’s a painting. Eric looked so excited to be surrounded by cameras that he couldn’t stop jumping.

Meanwhile, Cowell has become such a doting father to Eric even though he had no clue what he would be like as a dad before his son was born. While speaking with E! News, Cowell admitted that he’s always very nervous around babies. “I didn’t know what to do with them. But actually, when you see someone day by day becoming, you know, more smart and doing different things and recognizing you and now talking, I mean… It’s an incredible feeling.”

In other news, this is not the first time that Eric made an appearance in one of his dad’s TV shows. A few weeks ago, he also visited his dad backstage during an episode of “America’s Got Talent” Season 11. During that time, Cowell and Eric hung out together on a couch backstage. Eric was also greeted by Cowell’s fellow judges Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel. During an interview with People, Cowell gushed over his son, revealing that the boy has become his right-hand man because whatever Eric likes, Cowell likes as well.

“He’s brilliant, he comes down to the auditions and really enjoys the acts. He’s very good to watch, funnily enough, because I can see when he’s bored and when he’s up dancing. He’s a good critic already. He’s unpaid, but he’s helping me!”
