Hugh Jackman may appear in “X-Men: Apocalypse.” A recently surfaced Instagram post shows the actor working on the film last month in Montreal.

Kika NY, a custom leather goods company based in Brooklyn, shared a post four weeks ago that revealed they were asked to design a backpack for Jackman for the upcoming "X-Men" film. In the post, a photo of a notebook can be seen where the design of a backpack has been drawn with a pen. The post is captioned: “We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X MEN movie in Montreal. We started sketching - The bag will be ready next week - we will keep you posted! #hughjackman #Xmen #movie #backpack #special.”

There is no official confirmation of Jackman’s appearance in the film, but from the Kika Instagram post, it seems that he will join the cast of Bryan Singer’s film. The actor had himself hinted about his appearance in the film in an interview.

“I have been speaking with the guys and I am not at liberty to tell exactly what’s going on. There are some very exciting things about integrating the whole X-Men world, including the Wolverine movie. There’s some really cool things going on,” he told Happy Sad Confused.

Jackman has played Wolverine in the previous films in the "X-Men series," most recently 2014's “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” He also will star in the “Wolverine” sequel due out in 2017.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Oscar Isaac, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, Lucas Till, Ben Hardy, Lana Condor and Olivia Munn. It centers on villain Apocalypse (Isaac). Singer is directing from a screenplay by Simon Kinberg. Singer is also the producer, along with Lauren Shuler Donner, Kinberg and Hutch Parker.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is scheduled to open May 27, 2016.
