  • Microsoft added more new games to the Xbox Game Pass library
  • Gamers can also look forward to seeing "Back 4 Blood" arriving on the platform
  • Xbox Lige Gold subscribers can download Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles for free

After adding a dozen of new titles in September, the Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft is still on a roll as it confirmed the addition of seven new titles to the library of this month's Xbox Game Pass and announced two free games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

The new titles featured in the Xbox Game Pass are "Astria Ascending," "AI: The Sominum Files," "Marvel's Avengers," "Unsighted" "Scarlet Nexus" and "Mighty Goose." These games were added to the library Thursday while "Phoenix Point" was added Friday.

"Phoenix Point" was developed by the same team who made "X-COM" and was previously available on Xbox Game Pass on PC. The title features the base game along with four major DLCs and the incoming "Corrupted Horizons" expansion.

Right now the strategy video title is making a debut on consoles as a day one Xbox Game Pass release. Apart from "Phoenix Point," two of the most notable games added for this month's Game Pass library are "Marvel's Avengers" and "Scarlet Nexus."

"Marvel's Avengers" is a live-service title from Crystal Dynamics that features a superhero-based campaign. Meanwhile, "Scalet Nexus" is an action RPG title from Bandai Namco Entertainment, which was released on June 24.

The game was previously rumored to be a day one Xbox Game Pass title but it did not happen. It is interesting to note that it did not take long for "Scarlet Nexus" to arrive at Microsoft's video game subscription service.

Subscribers can look forward to seeing more new titles arriving on Xbox Game Pass later this month. This includes the first-person shooter, survival horror game "Back 4 Blood" for fans of the zombie genre, which will arrive on Oct. 12.

Other games expected to arrive on Xbox game Pass includes "The Riftbbreaker" on Oct. 14, "Eternal Return" on Oct. 19, "Echo Generation" on Oct. 21 and "Bassmaster Fishing" on Oct. 28.

In addition to the seven new games added to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold subscribers get to download two free games for a limited time. These are "Castlevania: Harmony of Despair," developed by Konami and launched in 2010.

The other free-to-download game is "Aeero," which was developed by Mad Fellows and released in 2017. Players can enjoy these games for free and they will stay in their library even after being downloaded -- as long as the players maintain an active subscription.
