Microsoft has officially unveiled the new Xbox One S gaming console at the E3 conference that was held Monday. The new Xbox One S has been introduced in different storage versions. All the variants are now available on preorders at Microsoft Stores in the U.S. and U.K as well as on Amazon.

Compared to the existing Xbox One gaming console, the newly launched Microsoft Xbox One S not only sports a sleeker appeal but also it has a 40 percent smaller form factor. The Redmond giant has also showcased a vertical stand for the Xbox One S. It is an optional accessory that can be availed for $19.99.

The Xbox One S comes with a highest storage configuration of 2 TB. The new gaming console is also available in other storage options of 1 TB and 500 GB. The Xbox One S features an integrated power supply instead of the external power supply that is available on the current Xbox One.

The Microsoft Xbox One S includes support for 4K Ultra HD video playback that will enable users to play content from Windows Store or Xbox Store. The device also carries support for HDR gaming.

The Redmond has brought improvements to the Xbox One S controller. Apart from the new textured appeal for better grip, it also carries support for Bluetooth and enhanced wireless range.

Xbox One S Release Date, Price

The Xbox One S with 2 TB storage is listed with a preorder price of $399 on the U.S. editions of Microsoft Store and Amazon. On Microsoft Store UK, the device is listed with a pricing of 350 pounds. Both the retailers will start shipping the preordered units from Aug. 31 with free shipping.

The 1 TB and 500 GB variants of Xbox One S will be released on Dec. 30. Both the devices are also available on preorders.
