The said devkit enables game developers to activate a special Lockhart mode with a profile of the performance that the Redmond tech giant would like to achieve.

The publication cites sources familiar with Microsoft’s Xbox plans as the source of information. These are the most popular resolutions that the majority of PC gaming monitors used, the site adds.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that the industry has seen leaks related to the rumored Xbox Series S or Lockhart.

A few days ago, a data miner shared on Twitter several screenshots showing references to Lockhart. Meanwhile, both Microsoft and Sony have not yet revealed the price of their next generation gaming consoles. The gaming console royalties earlier announced that the Xbox Series X and the PS5 will arrive sometime in the holiday of 2020.
