The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is now official after the Chinese manufacturer announced its latest smartphone at a press event in Beijing, China Thursday. While several smartphone makers are aiming to even make phablets smaller, Xiaomi has outfitted the Mi Max 2 with a gigantic screen and a battery capacity to match.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a 6.44-inch Full HD display. It’s flat screen and prominent bezels mean the device is physically large. The handset has dimensions of 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6 mm and weighs 211 grams.

In comparison, other phablets, such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus have a large display and a small frame. The Galaxy S8 Plus features a 6.2-inch dual-edge curved display, dimensions of 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm and a weight of 173 grams.

Xiaomi has also experimented with dual-edge displays, on devices such as the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. However, the Mi Max 2 favors the iPhone in design, with a metal frame. The device includes a virtual home button, much like the Galaxy S8. Xiaomi has also added software features, such as one-handed mode, to allow users to shrink their screen into a fraction of its actual size for easier handling.

While Xiaomi is known for releasing devices with high-end specs and affordable prices, the Max 2 has an interesting array of both high-end and lower-end features. It’s 5,300mAh battery helps the device last up to two days, according to Xiaomi. Users can expect 18 hours of video playback, 21 hours of GPS navigation, and 57 hours of talk time.

There will also be a 128GB storage model, which will sell for 1,999 Yuan ($290). The device will be available in China starting June 1 and in India starting July 23.

Other Mi Max 2 features include its 12-megapixel main camera and 5-megapixel, a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 interface.
