Ashley on "Young and the Restless"
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) begins to express concern about Dina (Marla Adams, not pictured) on the June 1, 2017 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” CBS

She has been unhappy to see the mother who abandoned her and lied to her for so many years back in town. But after a surprisingly successful get-together with the entire family, Ashley will find herself expressing concern about Dina in a different way on the Thursday, June 1 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

After Dina (Marla Adams) came to Genoa City when she allowed Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Devon (Bryton James) to buy her company, she expressed hopes of reconnecting with the children she left behind there so many years ago. However, Jack (Peter Bergmann) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) have had very different reactions about her return in the CBS soap, with Ashley refusing to see anything good in her mother’s return.

However, now, following a successful family dinner with Jack, Dina, Abby (Melissa Ordway) and even Traci (Beth Maitland), Ashley may start having a change of heart when it comes to her mother. Her feelings may change from ones of contempt to concern, especially after Traci, like Jack, expresses excitement over the possibility of Dina sticking around this time.

“Your little soirée was so successful, she might never want to leave!” Traci says in a preview clip.

Ashley will then ask her sister if she doesn’t think it’s strange that Dina suddenly wants to be there and be a part of their lives again, and Traci will hint that maybe getting older has led to Dina realizing that people, specifically her children, are more important than anything else in the world.

That conversation in particular will move Ashley to see if Jack shares any concerns as well, and her brother will admit he’s supportive of her trying to find out if there’s something wrong with Dina that is prompting her decision to reach out after so many years away. Knowing that asking Dina directly will never work, Ashley will start making plans to confront Graham (Max Shippee), Dina’s younger companion who has been by her side religiously since she came to town. If anyone can give her answers, she feels it will be him.

Meanwhile, if something is wrong with Dina, she certainly isn’t showing it as she continues with her business dealings, expressing disappointment over something Neil and Devon have decided on. And when Neil tries to explain to her why they made the decision they did, he will be stunned when Dina snaps at him and reminds him that she is no stranger to business.
