It’s supposed to be a big night for Nick as he officially launches his new company, but things are set to take an unexpected turn as his actions of the past catch up with him in the present on the Tuesday, Sept. 11 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Nick (Joshua Morrow) is officially launching his company, Dark Horse, on the CBS soap, and is excited to finally be introducing his venture to the world. However, those closest to him know the dark moves he made to get the company off the ground, which included hacking into the Newman servers and exposing confidential information, and most alarmingly, impersonating JT (Thad Luckinbill) in the process. He eventually revealed the truth to his father, Victor (Eric Braden), revealing what he had done and why, and the two have been at odds ever since.

However, despite his dark beginnings, Nick is set to introduce the world to Dark Horse. Unfortunately for him, “Y&R” spoilers tease that “Nick’s big night takes an unforeseen turn.”

As it turns out, Rey (Jordi Villasousa) has been in town to investigate the use of JT’s credit cards, and learned that JT himself wasn’t responsible for their use. He wasn’t aware of exactly who’d been using them yet, but he may have since learned about the extent of Nick’s scheming—and he will be the one responsible for Nick’s night taking the unexpected turn.

A preview clip for the week’s episodes (see above) shows Rey telling Nick he is under arrest, and Nick is also seen being photographed for a mugshot. If Rey has figured out everything and even knows that JT is missing and dead, he may mistakenly assume that Nick killed him—which will complicate matters greatly, because while Nick did commit fraud by stealing the other man’s identity, he isn’t the person who committed murder.

His own mother, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is the one who wound up killing JT when he was trying to attack Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Together, the two of them, along with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Sharon (Sharon Case), covered up the crime. But if Nick’s life is threatened because of their bad deeds, they may be forced to finally admit to what they know.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
