He has been making as many dirty moves as he can to mess with the people he feels are against him, and has even played dirty once again as he moves to try and win custody of his biological son from his brother. However, Adam may find a reason to have a change of heart on the Friday, August 9 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Since Adam (Marc Grossman) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) both lost custody of Christian and the boy was given to Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Adam hasn’t backed down from his attempts to prove Nick is an unfit father and doesn’t deserve to have custody of the boy any longer, despite the fact that he raised him on the CBS soap. After taunting both Nick and Victoria over the alleged preferential treatment his brother was getting when it came to time with the boy, he goaded Nick by admitting to Christian that he was his biological father, goading his brother to hit him. He now has the intention of pressing charges for assault. To make things even more dramatic, he not only managed to seduce Sharon (Sharon Case), but he also succeeded in throwing in Rey’s (Jordi Villasousa) face, which makes the recently reinstated cop who has been on Nick’s side struggle with his commitment to doing things by the book.

Now, following his latest actions, Adam will find himself threatened when Victoria warns him he needs to cool it, because she will do whatever she can to make sure he doesn’t succeed in his bid if he keeps trying to force Nick to become hot-headed.

“Adam’s backed into a corner by Victoria,” spoilers reveal.

If Victoria can convince her brother that she will make sure he loses any visitation with Christian if he keeps it up, it could force Adam to cool it briefly, though it will likely take something bigger to make him have a change of heart and refocus his energy.

That ability to change his outlook could come through Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), who recently brought their son, Connor (Judah Mackey), back to town. The boy is resistant to staying in Genoa City because he had gotten used to the new life they had built when they left, and he misses his stepdad, who recently passed unexpectedly. If the only way to convince Connor that they belong in Genoa City is to let him know his real father is actually alive, then she may also be forced to reunite the two. While it will make her nervous to do so, it could also be the thing that causes Adam to soften, because non-regulated access to at least one of his sons could be the thing that gets him to be more like the man he had become before his presumed death.

“The Young and the Restless” airs 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
