TikTok star Zoe LaVerne is active on social media once more after allegedly admitting that she “caught feelings” for an underage fan.

Last month, LaVerne, 19, shut down her Instagram and stopped posting on her other social media accounts following allegations that she kissed 13-year-old fan Connor Joyce, who makes regular appearances on her TikTok videos.

Over the weekend, LaVerne reactivated her Instagram and took to Snapchat to reveal that she is “starting therapy soon” and is “getting help.” She also said Saturday that she and Joyce have not been in touch.

“[P]lease stop spreading rumors that aren't true. connor and i will be addressing this situation soon. we have no communication right now. thank you for understanding,” read the Snapchat post obtained by Instagram account @tiktokroom.

LaVerne also addressed a Snapchat group chat titled “Zoe Sl*t your Wrists” that she was added to, writing, “I realize why everyone is mad at me and disgusted… trust me I get it I am mad at myself too… but please stop these group chats they aren’t helping.”

The controversy began when a conversation between LaVerne's ex-boyfriend Cody Orlove and her ex-best friend Amber VanPelt was leaked after a hacker took over the former’s Instagram account. During the exchange, VanPelt claimed that LaVerne’s relationship with Joyce was “intense.”

YouTuber Def Noodles then posted a clip on Twitter that allegedly shows LaVerne kissing Joyce, triggering social media backlash for the TikTok star. While her mother Debbie Pemberton defended her saying that her daughter and Joyce were only “best friends,” LaVerne stayed quiet.

However, LaVerne allegedly admitted to having feelings for the underage fan in a recent post on a private fandom account known to be run by the TikTok star.

“Connor and I kissed yes…never had a relationship, but we did catch feelings for each other after being so close,” wrote LaVerne in a post obtained by @tiktokroom.

LaVerne once again received criticism on social media, with one Instagram user commenting, “She’s almost 20 catching feelings for a middle schooler.”

“Were both teenagers? Broo Zoe is an adult basically,” wrote another.

Meanwhile, Joyce has clarified that LaVerne never assaulted him and said that he will address the situation only once he is “stable enough” to do so.
