We all make mistakes. But if you're running for President of the United States, one thing you may want to make sure you get right during your multi-million-dollar campaign is that your staff spells America correctly.
A new Mitt Romney iPhone app, which let[s] you customize photos with a variety of Mitt-inspired artistic frames, was released by the Republican candidate's campaign Tuesday night. Greg Greene, the New media outreach director for the Democratic National Committee, nicknamed it Mittstagram.
But one of those frames seemed to have lacked a copyeditor, prompting widespread mocking on Twitter and use of the hashtag #amercia. The faux pas also inevitably inspired a Tumblr. The mistake was still there Wednesday morning.
