The Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS was unleashed along with the new Google Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P smartphones on Sept. 29. Now that the Android 6.0 OS, also called Android M, has been officially announced, OEMs will be soon releasing it for their smartphones.

The new Android M will be rolled be first to major flagships, and then it will be made available for second batch of devices. Here is the list of smartphones from Samsung, LG, Motorola, HTC, Xiaomi, Asus and other brands that are likely to get the new Android version soon.


The Android 6.0 will first arrive the Galaxy Note 5, the Galaxy S6 Edge+, the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 Edge, the Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy A8, the Galaxy A7, the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Alpha. The second set of Samsung smartphones that are expected to receive the Android 6.0 later include the Galaxy A5, the Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy E series smartphones, Gizmo China reported.


The LG V10, the LG Class, the G4, the G3, Flex 2 is the first line of LG smartphones to get the Android 6.0. It will be made available to other LG handsets like the G2, G2 Pro and G Flex.


According to Times of India, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS is officially confirmed to arrive for nine Motorola devices, including Moto X Pure Edition, the Moto X Style, the Moto X Play, the Moto (Gen 2), the third generation and second generation editions of Moto G, the Moto Turbo, the Droid Turbo and the Moto Maxx.


The Sony Xperia Z5 series, the Xperia M5, the Xperia C5 Ultra, the Xperia Z3+, the Xperia Z3 series, the Xperia Z2, the Xperia Z Ultra GPE are the first batch Sony smartphones to receive Android 6.0. The Android 6.0 upgrade will arrive later for the Xperia Z1 handset.


According a tweet from a well-known leakster of HTC phones has revealed that Android M OS along with Sense 7 UI will be made available for Desire handsets like Eye, 816, 820 and 826. The HTC One series smartphones that will be upgraded to Android 6.0 include the M9, the M9+, the E9, the E9+, the M8, the M8s.

The HTC Butterfly 3 and the Butterfly 2 are also going to receive the update. The HTC One series smartphones will first receive the Android 6.0 and later on it will arrive for Desire series handsets.


The Xiaomi Mi 4, the Mi 4i, the Mi Note, the Mi Note Pro, Redmi Note 2, the Redmi 2 Prime, the Redmi 2 will be the first set of Xiaomi smartphones that are scheduled to receive Android 6.0. The second batch of Xiaomi smartphones to receive Android 6.0 include Redmi Note (2014) and the Redmi 1S.


The Asus ZenFone 2 series, the ZenFone Laser, the ZenFone Deluxe and the ZenFone Selfie are slated to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow first. It will later on come to the ZenFone 6, the ZenFone 5 and the ZenFone 4.
