David Beckham Not Dead, Just a False Twitter Rumor [PHOTOS]

If you were one of those avid Twitter users who woke up on Wednesday morning to see that David Beckham's death was a trending topic, don't believe it.

Beckham didn't die in a car crash, and the false death reports about the soccer star have angered his fans.

In another prank from a hoax tabloid "Global Associated News" on Wednesday, the soccer star died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. The site stated that paramedics pronounced Beckham dead at the scene.

"Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that David Beckham lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly," the site reported.

Fans then turned to Twitter to see if reliable news sources were reporting this accident. But they couldn't find any.

"These rumors should stop, they are not true. Why do peeps feel they can play with death," one of Beckham's fans wrote.

False death reports involving celebrities are not new.

Beckham has joined the likes of David Guetta who also falsely died in a similar manner. Other celebrities who have falsely died include Will Smith and his son Jaden, Adam Sandler, and Owen Wilson to name a few.
