Billy Bradford waves flags outside City Hall after a judge lifted the Proposition 8 stay on same sex marriages at City Hall in San Francisco, California August 12, 2010. A U.S. federal judge on Thursday ruled that legal marriages of same-sex couples may resume next week in California, pending the appeal of his earlier decision that overturned a voter-approved ban on gay matrimony. Patti Stanger is receiving more backlash after she appeared on The Joy Behar Show to clarify comments she recently made.

There is no curbing the gay, she said on Sunday on Andy Cohen's show Watch What Happens Live. I tried to curb you people.

Cohen looked nervous while Stanger made her comments.

Stanger appeared on Behar's show to clarify what she meant.

The gay men, they whip it out at eye lock, she said. They get involved, and they find out later if they want a serious relationship.''

Behar said where she believed Stanger made a mistake.

Here's where I think you went wrong, when you make it sound as if all gays are like that, she told Stanger. If you said all blacks, all Chinese, all women, anything, it would get you in trouble.

Stanger said she has been a longtime champion of gay dating and gay marriage.

I apologize if GLAAD was offended, she said, referring to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. But I've been the first person for gay marriage, in the box, to put it on the map on television where every network fought me. Queer as Folk wouldn't do it. I was the one. And I'm still there in the trenches.

But people took to Twitter after the Behar segment appeared online, not buying what Stanger had to say.

Bravo apologized for Stanger's comments on Cohen's show.

Bravo regrets the comments expressed by Patti Stanger on Watch What Happens Live last night, a spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter. Her comments are not representative of the network's beliefs and opinions. We apologize for the offense it caused.
