Twitter Fumes After Tommie Frazier Snubbed From College Football Hall Of Fame

Tommie Frazier, the former University of Nebraska quarterback who guided the Cornhuskers to two consecutive national championships in 1994 and 1995, was snubbed from entering the College Football Hall of Fame, sending Twitter in a tizzy over the shocking omission.

Frazier, 37, a native of Bradenton, Fla., is one of the greatest college football quarterbacks. Injury woes prevented Tommy Frazier from having an NFL career, although Frazier did compete briefly in the Canadian Football League in 1996 with the Montreal Alouttes.

Tommie Frazier became a trending topic Tuesday on Twitter as word spread about his snub from entering the College Football Hall of Fame.

Twitter user Nate Winkler was equally outraged.

It's absolutely absurd that Tommie Frazier isn't in College Football HOF. I'm in my early 30's & he's easily Top 5 NCAA QB in my lifetime, he said.

Among the college football players that did make it into the prestigious Hall of Fame were BYU quarterback Ty Detmer, Syracuse wide receiver Art Monk and UCLA offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden.

Coaches Phil Fulmer (Tennessee), Jimmy Johnson (Oklahoma State and Miami) and R.C. Slocum (Texas A&M) were also voted in.
