Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were spotted in a car together on Saturday in Los Angeles. Shelton and Stefani had broken up with their respective spouses just months ago.
Shelton was seen driving the car while Stefani, sporting blond hair, was seated in the passenger seat wearing her signature red lipstick, Radar Online reported. The car ride follows a report last week that said that Stefani met Shelton’s parents and they liked her.
“I think when Blake introduced her to the family here it’s the most country she’s ever been,” Marilyn Philips, a longtime friend of the Shelton family, told Radar Online, adding: “She’ll have to get used to it. He took her to all the local joints. There’s not a Starbucks within 50 miles of here!”
“I think it’s great he’s dating Gwen. They say opposites attract and this is a perfect example. Blake and Gwen are essentially from two different worlds so it must be exciting for them,” Philips reportedly said.
Shelton was married to fellow country singer Miranda Lambert and got divorced in July while Stefani got divorced from singer Gavin Rossdale in August.
Justin Perry, a longtime friend of Shelton, reportedly said: “[Miranda’s] a very cold person, very stuck up, you know? She would try to act like a bigger celebrity than him.”
A report also said that Shelton met Stefani’s father in Los Angeles. "Blake helped Gwen's dad around the house," a source told People magazine. "They seemed very friendly and like they were getting along great."
Meanwhile, a report last week said that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been trying to arrange for a date for Lambert. However, Gossip Cop cited the representative for Kidman who said that the story was false.
“Keith and Nicole knew [Miranda Lambert] and Blake when they were happy together, and they want to see [Miranda Lambert] smile once again,” a source told the Life & Style magazine, adding: “[They] have decided to hook [Miranda Lambert] up with one of their single, handsome family oriented friends. [Miranda Lambert]’s dance card is feeling up already … she’ll have the pick of the litter.”
