"Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller, pictured in a promo shot for the Lifetime network, gets teary-eyed in a sneak preview of Season 6. Lifetime

“Dance Moms” is just weeks away from returning to Lifetime, and for the first time, we finally have a sneak peek of the drama set to unfold in Season 6. What’s in store for Abby Lee Miller and her students? It appears the Abby Lee Dance Company coach’s legal drama will be a main storyline.

Miller likes to tell her students to save their tears for their pillow, but in a sneak preview, obtained by ET Online, she can be seen visibly upset while taking a phone call. “My hair’s in rollers, I don’t have a bra on and I have a huge legal issue going on,” she says. “I’m finished!”

And while her star student Maddie Ziegler’s mother, Melissa Gisoni, is usually on her side, the teaser makes it appear she may be on the outs with Abby, though it is worth mentioning it could just be the work of editing. “She doesn’t want to mess with me right now,” Gisoni warns. “I know so much stuff.”

A later scene shows Gisoni and fellow dance moms Holly Frazier and Jill Vertes listening to the news that Abby could serve up to five years in jail. As most “Dance Moms” fans are aware, Miller was indicted on bankruptcy fraud, concealment of bankruptcy assets and false bankruptcy declarations charges in October. She pleaded not guilty to the charges in court Nov. 2.

And while ET has revealed that Abby’s legal problemes will be front and center in Season 6, it won’t be the only drama the dance teacher will have to face. Another clip from the forthcoming installment shows Vertes lashing out at Miller over a situation regarding her new, elite junior member, Brynn Rumfallo.

“Are you kidding me? You never trained that kid!” Vertes complains as her daughter Kendall, then 12, looks on, upset.

Amid the drama, it appears Frazier might be looking at another studio for her daughter, Nia. “Debbie Allen wanted to work with our girls,” she says as Nia, 14, and her teammate Kalani Hilliker can be seen dancing with the new troupe. “If Abby’s not prepared, there is a studio that wants us.”

Will Nia leave ALDC? Is Gisoni at odds with Miller? Fans will have to tune in to the Season 6 premiere Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime to find out!
