Abby Lee Miller can’t stop gushing about Maddie Ziegler. The “Dance Moms” star released her ALDC (Abby Lee Dance Company) fall/holiday newsletter this week, dedicating an entire section of her company update to her star student.

Fresh off her role in “Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow’s drama “The Book of Henry,” Abby discussed Maddie’s burgeoning film career. “Maddie Ziegler had the best of both worlds,” Abby wrote. The coach shared that Maddie, 13, was living in New York City while filming the movie and simultaneously shooting “Dance Moms” Season 6 in Los Angeles. “I wish I had her frequent flyer miles!” she said.

According to Abby, Maddie’s experience filming the feature was far different than shooting Lifetime’s “Dance Moms.” “She had a script to learn, acting coaches on hand, an actual director working with her, rather than a producer working against her,” Abby said.

While Maddie’s latest project allowed her acting abilities to shine, Abby revealed Maddie still had the opportunity to dance on set. “Maddie was applauded for her dancing!!!” Abby shared. Her comments come weeks after Trevorrow posted an image of Maddie performing onstage in a scene for the film on Twitter.

Abby concluded her newsletter saying she was glad her student had the opportunity to “learn from the best” and had a special message for her “Dance Moms” critics. “I have just one thing to say to all those Dance Moms… I told you so!” she wrote.

Maddie stars alongside Oscar-nominated actress Naomi Watts in the film. Jacob Tremblay (“Room“) and Jaeden Lieberher (“St. Vincent,“ “Aloha”) also star. Maddie was photographed filming scenes with her co-stars in NYC in October. “The Book of Henry” has since wrapped and is expected to be released in 2016.

While Maddie’s supporters will have to wait several months before catching her feature film debut, they can watch her on “Dance Moms,” which returns to Lifetime Tuesday, Jan. 5. Maddie was absent from several Season 6 competitions, but made a triumphant return in episode 7’s competition, which took place last month. The cast of “Dance Moms” is expected to make their next appearance at Fierce dance competition on Dec. 12 in Van Nuys, California.
