Destiny 2 - Lodbrok-C
The Lodbrok-C Auto Rifle Destiny 2

KEY POINTS

  • Lodbrok-C rolls with the new Target Lock perk
  • High-Impact Auto Rifles have a 0.83s TTK value

Auto rifles haven't been dominant in "Destiny 2" Crucible for quite some time, though this might change soon because of one new weapon added this Season 19.

The Lodbrok-C is a 360RPM, High-Impact Auto Rifle that has recently been making subtle waves in PvP for its surprising performance. This category of weapons is almost always overshadowed by the likes of Hand Cannons, Pulse Rifles and Scout Rifles, but the buff that Bungie gave to this archetype in mid-2022 made it more competitive than before.

High-Impact frames can now easily contend with other weapons thanks to their optimal TTK of 0.83 seconds. Lodbrok-C, on the other hand, can push this TTK value down even further with a number of its fourth-column perks.

This Auto Rifle comes with three damage-boosting perks: Adrenaline Junkie, Kill Clip and Target Lock—all of these are excellent when it comes to pushing an advantage against other Guardians, though the last one does stand out among the others.

Unlike Kill Clip and Adrenaline Junkie, Target Lock increases Lodbrok's lethality just by scoring consecutive hits. It is arguably the most consistent of the three because it does not require kills, and its benefit is always present in every gunfight.

Destiny 2 - Lodbrok-C Perks
The Lodbrok-C rolls with various lethality perks like Kill Clip and Adrenaline Junkie Destiny 2

For a tried-and-true perk combo, try out a Lodbrok with the following:

  • Polygonal Rifling
  • Ricochet Rounds
  • Perpetual Motion
  • Kill Clip

This highlights Lodbrok's high base range (which hits up to 37m with Ricochet Rounds) and the sheer stopping power of Kill Clip aided by Perpetual Motion. The performance of this roll should be very similar to that of Halfdan-D, a sunset Auto Rifle notorious for its effectiveness in PvP back in the day.

For a truly unique Lodbrok setup, try the following:

  • Full Bore
  • Ricochet Rounds
  • Dynamic Sway Reduction
  • Target Lock

Dynamic Sway Reduction negates much of the gun's strong recoil while also tacking on some added weapon accuracy. Additionally, it synergizes with Target Lock's effect, which will make the gun much more effective the longer players hold down the trigger while scoring those Precision Hits.

Lethality perks can shave Lodbrok's TTK down to the 0.6s mark. Adrenaline Junkie and Kill Clip will have a more tangible effect across Guardians of all Resilience levels. Meanwhile, Target Lock will be most noticeable against low-resilience enemies.
