Fox News has now joined the list of victims of hacking as a group of hackers called Scriptkiddies broke into one of its Twitter accounts and spread fake news about the assassination of president Barack Obama.

The hacker group gained access to @foxnewspolitics and started tweeting the fake information to 33,000 followers at about 2 am local time, IBNLive reported.

The false tweets of Obama's murder, coupled with specific details about his injuries, appeared to begin after the notorious hacker group sent a message telling Fox had just regained full access to our Twitter account.

Here is the first tweet - BREAKING NEWS: President @BarackObama assassinated, 2 gunshot wounds have proved too much. It's a sad 4th for #america. #obamadead RIP

@BarackObama has just passed. The President is dead. A sad 4th of July, indeed. President Barack Obama is dead, the rouge messages continued.

Giving specifications of Obama's injuries another tweet said - @BarackObama has just passed. Nearly 45 minutes ago, he was shot twice in the lower pelvic area and in the neck; shooter unknown. Bled out.

Although the first three tweets were directed to the Twitter feed allowing only the followers of both the accounts to see the messages. Later on, they posted three more tweets that could be seen by all followers.
