HTC One X, the Taiwanese company's best bet, has made headlines for its iconic design and stunning features.

The HTC One X, launched this year at the Mobile World Congress, was tagged as the king among Android smartphones, thanks to its stunning features.

The One X features a polycarbonate unibody shell with a 4.7-inch Gorilla Glass 720p screen, a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and a 12-core NVIDIA graphics processor. It will also be available in a 4G LTE model.

The phone features Android's latest OS Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC's latest Sense 4.0 interface which makes the phone superbly fast and slick, an 8 megapixel camera and, of course, the Beats Audio.

Now the question is: How does One X stand against all the legendary phones such as Samsung Galaxy S2 with its recent Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, Galaxy Note, Motorola Droid Razr MAXX, Nokia Lumia 900 and some upcoming phones like Galaxy S3 and the iPhone 5?

Check out the features of all these smartphones and let us know your best pick.

Samsung Galaxy S2

As mentioned, Samsung's best weapon in the smartphone market has just received an ICS upgrade, giving it an edge over existing smartphones. The Galaxy S2 sports a 4.3-inch 800x480 pixels Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch-screen with 217 ppi pixel density.

The Galaxy S2 features a dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A9, Exynos processor with 1 GB RAM.

A new lockscreen update has also been introduced in the phone which comes with a text saying, Swipe screen to unlock. You just need to touch any part of the screen. A circle appears around it and you just need to move your finger out of that circle to unlock the phone.

Motorola Droid Razr MAXX

The Moto Droid Razr Maxx comes with a super-powerful battery Li-Ion 3300 mAh and according to Verizon, this phone is revolutionary and provides a whopping 21 hours of talk time and 368 hours of standby time.

Motorola Droid Razr MAXX was released for Verizon Wireless at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas earlier this year. The phone, considered as the overachiever of the Razr family, sports a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 pixels Super AMOLED Advanced capacitive touch-screen.

It has a dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor with a Texas Instruments' OMAP 4430 Chipset and PowerVR SGX540 GPU and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The phone also touts an 8 megapixel LED flash rear-facing camera with 1080p video capture capabilities and an additional 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting.

Nokia Lumia 900

Running on the latest Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, the 4.3-inch Nokia Lumia 900 is known as iconic, beautiful and fast.

Lumia 900, which is the company's first 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) phone, offers one-touch access to social networking sites along with features like easy grouping of contacts, communication threads and Internet Explorer 9. Nokia this time has used AMOLED ClearBlack display on this set.

Lumia 900 will have HSDPA 21 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps and will support 4G LTE. According to AT&T, the Lumia phone will provide a blazing fast 4G LTE with speed that's 10x faster than 3G.

The Lumia 900 comes with a 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor, Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon, Adreno 205 GPU with 16GB internal storage and 512MB RAM. And the Nokia smartphone will not have any external memory card slot.

The phone will also sport an 8 megapixel main camera with Carl Zeiss lens, dual LED flash, Auto Focus features and a 1 megapixel front camera for video calling.

But the USP of the phone will be its Xbox Live capabilities. The cutting-edge graphics, ClearBlack display and Windows Phone OS provide a great platform on which to develop games, believe experts.

iPhone 4S

iPhone 4S, which already enjoys a cult following, comes with a dimension of 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm and weighs 140 grams.

The revolutionary Retina Display was first introduced in Apple's last iPhone. The iPhone 4S touts a 3.4-inch Retina display with LED-backlit IPS TFT capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and 640 x 960 pixels with 330 ppi pixel density.

Samsung Galaxy Note

Galaxy Note sports a 5.3-inch high-definition Super AMOLED with a display of 1280 x 800 pixels and about 285 ppi pixel density. The phone sports nice and sharp resolution for a phone of its class but we believe that the images are less crisper than that of the 316 ppi pixel density of the HTC One X thanks to the AMOLED display.

The Galaxy Note sports a dual-core 1.5GHz Scorpion CPU Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon Adreno 220 GPU with 1GB RAM which results in silky smooth user experience. But as of now, the phone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with the promise of an upgrade to Google Inc's latest smartphone OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung Galaxy S3

Here comes the biggie of this year. Every Android smartphone lover is eagerly waiting for the launch of this phone. HTC One X's biggest rival is rumored to sport a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Plus full HD screen with 1,280×720-pixel resolution. Don't be surprised if you receive a bigger screen than the Galaxy Nexus. Various rumors have also suggested that the S3 might come with an edge-to-edge display and a much larger chassis.

According to a BGR report, Samsung might launch S3 as its first phone with a 3D screen and the phone will sport a peculiar S-shaped bend in the 4.6-inch screen. The S3 can also receive a revamped light and scratch-resistant ceramic encasing.

Now comes the processor, which according to various rumors, will be a quad-core ARM A9-based Exynos 4212 chipset, clocked at a powerful 1.8GHz with 2GB RAM. According to another claim made by BGR, a more modest 1.5GHz quad-core has been indicated in the S3.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also heard to give hefty speed boosts on graphics and pack in some battery-friendly power-saving features with its latest device.

The global version of HTC One X is a quad-core phone with Nvidia's Tegra 3 SoC with 4-PLUS-1 processor running at 1.5GHz, while AT&T's LTE version uses a Qualcomm S4 instead. However, both versions of the HTC One X devices come with 1GB RAM.

About the operating system, there's nothing left for anticipation as Samsung will certainly pack Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS with its device. And the S3 is also expected to receive the latest TouchWiz UI version 5.0.

The phone is expected to come with 32/64 GB internal storage. Also, the phone will have an external microSD card slot to extend the memory by at least 32 GB, which is missing in some models of the HTC phone.

Rumors are rife that the S3 is likely to pack a 12-megapixel rear camera. The camera will also have a 2 megapixel front-facing shooter for video chats.

Galaxy S3 is predicted to come with a 2250 mAh battery. A bigger battery compared to HTC's 1800 mAh standard Li-Po battery.

The phone will sport some revolutionary features such as wireless charging, 3D Lenticular image technology, waterproof casings.

iPhone 5

Another heavyweight is indeed Apple's next gen iPhone, popularly known as the iPhone 5.

The phone is expected to sport 3.5/4-inch Display, Teardrop Design and Rubberized Bezel Body, Quantum Dot LED curved glass edge-to-edge display with 1280 x 720 resolutions (367ppi).

The Verge reported that the next iPhone will see the introduction of the rumored A6 processor that will clock in at superfast 1.2 to 1.5 GHz with 1GB or more of RAM to offer amazing processing capabilities to the smartphone.

With the sixth gen iPhone, the company is rumored to be launching its latest iOS 6. Also the Apple lovers can expect Siri 2 with the iPhone 5. Currently, the iPhone 4S has the beta version of Siri but the new iPad has voice dictation.

Some interesting features like iWallet, Universal Remote Control and 3D Camera may also be introduced with the iPhone 5.
