Jessa Seewald is proud of her baby. The former “19 Kids and Counting” star has shared multiple images of her first-born, Spurgeon Elliot Seewald, since his birth Nov. 5. The 23-year-old Duggar daughter posted an updated snap of her 2-week-old on Facebook Wednesday evening.

“'Ok mom, you’re smothering me with all the kisses!'” Jessa captioned a shot of her kissing Spurgeon’s face. “Those chubby cheeks are absolutely irresistible,” she added. “I’m in love!”

Jessa last updated fans on her son Monday, sharing a home video of him yawning and smiling. A day prior she posted a photo of Spurgeon sleeping. “Have to wonder what it is that babies dream about,” Jessa wrote.

Jessa welcomed her son with husband Ben Seewald in Arkansas. After suffering a few complications following her home birth -- Jessa was hospitalized and needed a blood transfusion -- the couple announced their baby’s name on YouTube Nov. 11. In a clip posted to the Duggar family’s channel, Jessa and Ben, 21, revealed the meaning behind Spurgeon Elliot Seewald’s name.

Ben explains in the video that Spurgeon is for Charles Spurgeon, a 19th-century preacher. “He had a big impact on our lives, and his writings and his sermons and books are still around today and continue to impact many, many people,” he said. Elliot refers to Jim and Elizabeth Elliot, late missionaries in South America.

Prior to his birth, the couple kept their baby’s gender a secret. They referred to him only by the nickname “Quincy.”

Jessa and Ben will showcase their parenthood journey on TLC’s three-part special “Jill & Jessa: Counting On.” The episodes premiere in December.
