Wearing a thong, bra, and heels, Gaga rolls around in cake, shakes her butt, and takes a bath, all within 15 seconds. The video is shot by famed photographer Terry Richardson.
She and Richardson have a very close relationship, as back in September, Lady Gaga cut part of her hair off in honor of Richardson's late mother. "I did it for u Terry, I'm sorry about ure mommy," the "Born This Way" singer wrote on Twitter.
Lady Gaga also posted a picture of how her hair looks from the front, which was not shaved off, and said, "But we still have glamour in the front. ARTPOP."
Richardson and Lady Gaga became close after the renowned photographer spent an almost year long journey with the pop star, capturing every aspect of her life with pictures. The photos are published in the 2011 book, "Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson."
The New York Daily News states that Richardson's blog includes snapshots of the two playing around backstage before a show or in a hotel room after one of her concerts.
While she has yet to announce that "Cake" is to be her next single on her anticipated album, "ARTPOP," that is the expectation as she has released two preview clips of the video, though the full version of the song has yet to be released.
Taking risks when it comes to her outfits is hardly new for Gaga. Earlier this month, Lady Gaga appeared on her balcony in Brazil topless, using a coconut to cover her chest. She was only wearing black underwear and holding a small towel along with the coconut.
As of late, Lady Gaga has been unafraid to show off her body, even after she was criticized by the media for gaining weight.
While the media called Lady Gaga fat, after she gained 25 pounds back in September, she started a body revolution, inspiring little monsters all over the globe to be brave and accept their bodies, regardless of excess weight, scars, and other "imperfections."
"Today I join the BODY REVOLUTION. To Inspire Bravery. And BREED some [expletive] COMPASSION,” Gaga wrote on her official website, after posting pictures of herself in a bra and underwear. "This profile is an extension of that dream. Be brave and celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws,' as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous,” Lady Gaga added.
