After Kanye West was forced to cancel the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo Tour and was hospitalized for exhaustion and sleep deprivation, many fellow rappers have publicly expressed their support. Now, popstar Lady Gaga has taken to Twitter to show her support for the “Life of Pablo” musician.

In a string of tweets posted on Nov. 23, the “Joanne” singer commended West for taking time off to focus on himself, even if he may or may not be dealing with mental health issues.

“It’s not funny to joke about anyone’s possible or not possible mental illness, this is a sensitive time for many,” Lady Gaga posted on Twitter. “Let’s be kind and loving.” Although the singer may not agree with everything West does, she still hopes people show compassion for the rapper.

While his family wanted him home for Thanksgiving, West reportedly will be forced to spend the holiday at UCLA Medical Center. TMZ claims West, 39, may stay at the hospital until the end of the week.

Earlier this week, reports state that while receiving an at-home visit from his physician, the doctor called police to report that West was suffering from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.

After reportedly trying to attack a gym staff member, West was transported to the hospital, but an Entertainment Tonight source says he is doing better. “He just needed some rest,” the ET source said. “[Kim] is currently with Kanye right now at his side. Kim feels more connected to Kanye than ever. Their marriage is doing great.”

For fans who had tickets to the canceled Saint Pablo Tour shows, Ticketmaster has already begun issuing refunds, and fans should see the credit by the end of the week.
