The LG G5 is now updating to Android 7.0 Nougat on T-Mobile. The NRD90U build software will take the smartphone from Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Android 7.0.

Several T-Mobile LG G5 users have shared screen caps of their devices receiving the Android system update for Nougat, including a reddit user. The prompt details that the update size is about 1.2 GB (1272.9MB) and reminds users to install the software via Wi-Fi with a fully charged device.

Android 7.0 includes new and improved features such as quick switch between apps, the power saving ‘Doze on the Go,’ direct reply to notifications and custom quick settings, among many others. The update also brings various Google security patches to the smartphone.

The software should hit T-Mobile handsets wirelessly, but users can also check for the update manually by accessing settings > general > about phone > update centre > system update > check for update on their LG G5 handset.

The Sprint LG G5 also began updating to Android 7.0 Nougat last week.

In addition to the LG G5, the Korean manufacturer is also expected to updated the LG V10 and LG G3 smartphones. The LG V20 launched in September with Android 7.0 running natively.
