IFA 2016 is set to happen from Sept. 2 to 7 this year, and South Korean electronics company LG is scheduled to present and launch its new products on one of the inclusive dates. However, it appears that Samsung’s rival company is ditching the prominent trade show as the perfect venue to launch its V10 successor, the V20. Instead, LG is rumored to be debuting its G Flex 3 at the Berlin event.

Just this Friday, LG teased about its upcoming V20 as a smartphone to beat in terms wired audio quality, revealing that the handset will come with quad DAC to ensure that the device’s wired audio performance is unrivalled. The Verge even opined that with the four ESS digital-to-analog converters, the V20 will be the perfect companion of audiophiles who like to listen to high quality sound using headphones.

Earlier in the week, the V20 made a remarkable appearance in leaked renders of its white variant. According to GSM Arena, the renders show the 5.7-inch Quad HD display of the V20 and the always-on secondary display atop the former, as well as the circular fingerprint scanner and the protruding dual-lens camera system at the back of the handset.

The V20 is also rumored to come with a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and Android’s upcoming OS update 7.0 Nougat, making it the perfect device to redeem LG from failure that is the G5. With the company’s desire to bounce back to prominence in the smartphone market scene, it would seem fitting for LG to announce the V20 at IFA 2016. However, the Seoul-headquartered tech firm chose not to, with Pocket-lint reporting that LG is launching the V20 at a separate Sept. 6 event. Still LG fans should not feel discouraged to witness LG’s presentation at IFA 2016 because the South Korean brand is reportedly launching its successor to the G Flex 2, the G Flex 3, at the trade show.

The launch of the G Flex 3 at IFA 2016 has long been rumored online. Phone Arena even stated back in May that the handset will be sporting a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel back camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing one when it is presented at IFA 2016.

In addition, the LG G Flex 3 will likely arrive with a more advanced self-healing technology than that of the G Flex 2, which launched back in January 2015. The curved smartphone is also rumored to be modular just like the G5, according to a previous Pocket-lint report. Other specs and features of the G Flex 3 are still unknown at this point, but it will not take long until they come into light since IFA 2016 is just weeks away.
